The theme of this exhibition came to me just at the right time. A number of new works were already waiting to be shown to the public. In contrast to my usual works, which are usually characterised by a lot of overpainting and sometimes making the lower layers visible again, I have deliberately gone for "simplicity" in my new works and thus also for a limited colour palette. The results are pictures that express the spontaneity with which they were created and have a particularly striking effect. Although the approach was an unusual one for me, I remained true to my theme of "connections". The large, accurately placed areas of colour - set on black - experience a connection through spontaneous gestures to ultimately achieve my goal - the harmonious whole.
